4D in Sabah and Sarawak is not simply the peninsular game sold further east. East Malaysia has its own licensed operators, running their own draws under their own state arrangements, and their results are separate from Magnum, Sports Toto and Da Ma Cai in every respect.
The operators
Sabah 88 (4D88) — the Sabah-licensed operator, widely followed across the state.
Special CashSweep — the Sarawak operator, the one most people mean when they say “Sarawak 4D”.
STC (Sandakan Turf Club) — the Sandakan-based operator, often listed alongside the other two on results pages.
All three publish their own winning numbers for each draw, and we list them together on the Sabah and Sarawak 4D results page, with permanent per-date pages in the Sabah/Sarawak archive.
How they differ from the peninsular operators
Separate draws, separate results. As with the peninsular three, each East Malaysian operator draws independently. A CashSweep ticket is settled only against a CashSweep draw.
Their own schedules. East Malaysian operators do not always share the peninsular Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday pattern, and additional draws appear on their own calendars. Check the operator’s published schedule rather than assuming a peninsular draw day.
Their own prize structures. The 23-position table used by the peninsular operators is not automatically the structure used elsewhere. We publish prize structures only for operators whose tables we have verified against the operator’s own published page, which is why the East Malaysian and Cambodian-licensed operators are not in that set: rather than print a plausible-looking guess about money, we leave it to the operator’s own page.
That is worth stating plainly, because payout tables for these operators circulate widely on forums and group chats, often with no source at all. Before betting or claiming on the strength of a number you read somewhere, confirm it with the operator.
Cambodian-licensed operators
Alongside the East Malaysian operators, several Cambodian-licensed 4D brands are followed by Malaysian players — Grand Dragon Lotto (GD Lotto), SK Lotto, Grand Tiger, Perdana and Lucky Hari Hari among them.
The practical differences are significant:
- Many of them draw daily, not three times a week
- They run their own game formats, including 6D and jackpot variants
- They are licensed in Cambodia, not by a Malaysian authority
We publish their results on the Grand Dragon Lotto page and the Cambodia 4D results page, with the schedule on the Cambodia next draw page.
Checking an East Malaysian ticket
The routine is the same as anywhere else, and the first step is the one people skip:
- Identify the operator printed on the ticket — Sabah 88, CashSweep and STC results are not interchangeable.
- Find the result for that operator on the exact draw date.
- Check the bet type you bought before deciding what a match pays.
- Confirm against the operator’s own published result before making any claim.
If a result is unclear, or an announcement reaches you before the operator has published anything, treat it as unverified — 4D scams and fake results covers why early “leaked” results are almost always a setup.
